| Care Description | Bubble Tip Anemones are some of the most popular anemones in the reef aquarium hobby due in large part to their appearance but also because these anemones serve as hosts to a large number of clownfish. They are also capable of moving around the aquarium and often do not settle on a single location. It is for this reason that any exposed pumps and drains should be protected to prevent one of these anemones from getting sucked in. Please see below for more care tips for bubble tips. |

General Description
Bubble Tip Anemones, particularly the Rainbow Bubble Tip Anemone, are highly sought after in the reef aquarium hobby due to their striking orange and green coloration, making them an attractive addition to any tank. Known for their symbiotic relationship with clownfish, these anemones are relatively large, reaching sizes of over 2 inches in diameter. Unlike many other coral species, Bubble Tip Anemones are mobile creatures, often relocating within the aquarium.
Demands and Hardiness
The setup for Bubble Tip Anemones requires careful consideration due to their tendency to move around the tank. It is essential to protect any exposed pumps and drains to prevent the anemones from being sucked in or damaged. Additionally, moderate to strong water movement is recommended to mimic their natural environment. While these anemones can tolerate a range of lighting conditions from low to high, stronger lighting often results in more vibrant coloration.

Bubble Tip Anemones are carnivorous and accept a diet that includes Mysis, Krill, small fish, and medium to large-sized pellets. Offering a variety of meaty foods such as shrimp, fish, and squid on a regular basis, with silversides being a favored choice, ensures the anemones receive proper nutrition for their well-being.
Propagation
Propagation of Bubble Tip Anemones has been achieved successfully, with methods varying among individual specimens. These anemones can reproduce through longitudinal fission where they split naturally. Some aquarists induce this process by introducing stressors like changes in salinity or water temperature, while others witness spontaneous splitting without any intervention.
