Originating from the islands of the Indo-Pacific such as Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, and the Great Barrier Reef, these corals are a member of the Pocilloporidae family. They are known for their semi-aggressive temperament and are second only to Acropora in reef-building productivity in their natural habitat.

Demands and Hardiness

With a moderate care level, this coral thrives in a well-lit aquarium with high lighting. They tolerate a wide range of light and water flow conditions, with medium to strong water movement recommended. For optimal health, maintaining water parameters within kh: 8-12, pH: 8.1-8.4, sg: 1.023-1.025, and a temperature range of 22.2-25.6°C is essential. Additionally, supplementing with calcium, magnesium, strontium, iodine, trace elements, and CO2 fertilization promotes their growth.

Lighting
