General Description
Hyphessobrycon simulatus, commonly known as the False X-Ray Tetra, is a species within the Characidae family. It is a petite fish, reaching a maximum size of 3.5cm, with distinguishing features such as a relatively large humeral spot and black pigmentation restricted to the first ray of the anal fin. Endemic to French Guiana, it predominantly inhabits still and sluggish tributaries and backwaters in various river basins.
Aquarium Setup
