Behaviour

Reproduction & Dimorphism

During courtship, males display vibrant colors to attract females. The breeding process involves the female laying eggs, often among plants or moss. Males are more colorful than females, showcasing striking hues and patterns to court potential mates.

Habitat and Distribution

The Aphyosemion Erythron is endemic to specific regions in Equatorial Guinea. Its natural habitat includes freshwater environments found in the mentioned drainages. These fish are adapted to habitats with dense vegetation, slow-moving waters, and areas that provide ample coverage for protection against predation.
