General Description
Helanthium bolivianum, formerly known as Echinodorus quadricostatus var. xinguensis, is a fast-growing aquatic plant belonging to the Alismataceae family. It forms a grass-like lawn in aquariums, making it a popular choice for aquascaping enthusiasts.

This plant is suitable for aquariums and is commonly used in Midground, Nano tanks, and as Foreground and ground cover. With its fast growth rate and ease of care, it is a favorable choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists.
Demands and Hardiness
Helanthium bolivianum requires moderate to high lighting and a pH range of 5-7.5 for optimal growth. It can thrive in temperatures between 20-26°C and has a tolerance range of 10-30°C. The plant prefers carbon dioxide levels of 10-40mg/l and nutrient levels within the specified ranges (see table).
Aquascaping & Usage
