General Description
Cryptocoryne fusca, also known by its synonym Cryptocoryne tortilis, is a slow-growing aquatic plant belonging to the family Araceae. Originating from Borneo and Belitung island, it is a rosette plant that can reach heights of 10-25cm and widths of 15-25cm. This plant is often misapplied as Cryptocoryne longicauda.
Aquarium Suitability
Cryptocoryne fusca is suitable for aquariums, although it is rarely available commercially or from other aquarists due to its limited availability. It is categorized as a medium difficulty plant, thriving in low to medium light conditions and temperatures ranging from 23-27°C. While it can tolerate temperatures between 22-28°C, it is unsuitable for outdoor use in colder climates.
