General Description
The Moluccen Cardinal, scientifically known as Ostorhinchus monospilus, is a member of the Apogonidae family, commonly referred to as Cardinalfish. These fish come in a variety of shapes and colors, with a large mouth and a hearty appetite. They are typically well-suited for aquarium environments, thriving on a diet of Artemia, Mysis, and krill. While usually peaceful, they may pose a threat to small crustaceans and fish, such as shrimp.
Aquarium Suitability
The Moluccen Cardinal is considered suitable for most aquarium setups, provided adequate space and hiding spots are available.
