General Description

The Biota Forktail Blenny, also known as the Lyretail Fang Blenny or Yellowtail Fang Blenny, features a distinctive caudal fin resembling a fork, with two long exterior spines and five shorter middle spines. The body coloration transitions from a pale blue to a bluish-yellow hue towards the tail. Males typically exhibit larger size than females and display color changes during breeding phases.

Aquarium Suitability

The Forktail Blenny is considered suitable for aquariums, requiring a minimum tank size of 30 gallons with live rock for hunting and grazing purposes. It is advisable to house only one blenny per tank unless maintaining a breeding pair.
