General Description

The Lined wrasse, scientifically known as Anampses lineatus, belongs to the Labridae family, characterized by their vibrant appearance and unique behaviors. These fish exhibit significant differences in appearance between males, females, and juveniles, making them a fascinating addition to aquariums. They are known for their peaceful nature and ability to bury themselves in sand when threatened or in need of rest.
