General Description

The Naoko's Fairy Wrasse, scientifically known as Cirrhilabrus naokoae, is a species originating from the Indian Ocean. Typically, males exhibit brighter and flashier colors than females, with adult males showcasing red, yellow, and white hues complemented by black, red, and blue fin accents. During courtship, males flaunt their brilliantly colored fins to attract mates, with coloration varying based on the fish's mood.

Aquarium Suitability

With its peaceful and active demeanor, the Naoko's Fairy Wrasse is suitable for fish-only or reef aquariums of 50 gallons or more. While they coexist well with other wrasse species like Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus, territorial behaviors may arise, especially towards similar species. These wrasses are reef-safe, posing no threat to corals or invertebrates, though their tendency to jump necessitates a secure canopy.
