General Description: Helfrichs' dartfish, scientifically known as Nemateleotris helfrichi, belong to the Microdesmidae family and are characterized by their torpedo-like shape. They are native to the Pacific Ocean, ranging from the Tuamoto Islands in the east to the Ryukyu Islands in the north.

Aquarium Suitability: Helfrichs' dartfish are considered suitable for most aquarium setups due to their hardiness and docile nature. They do best in a tank with peaceful fish to prevent stress and ensure adequate feeding opportunities. It is essential to provide hiding places such as live rocks to help these shy fish feel secure in their environment.

However, they can be sensitive to larger, aggressive tankmates that may outcompete them for food, leading to potential health issues.
