They can be used to control glass anemones and Majano anemones in aquariums, making them beneficial in certain setups.

They prefer peace and quiet surroundings during the acclimation process to tank life and should be handled carefully to prevent getting caught in nets.

Being hardy in nature, these fish originate from the waters of the Mexican Gulf. They require a tank size of at least 200 liters and thrive in water conditions with a pH level between 8.1-8.4, a specific gravity of 1.020-1.025, and a temperature range of 22.2-25.6°C. Providing hiding spots like live rocks is crucial for their well-being, especially since they are shy and docile creatures.
Reef Suitability
