Aquarium Suitability
The Bluestripe Pipefish, although captivating, requires specific conditions to thrive in captivity. It is recommended to house them in a dedicated tank with overhangs, caves, and materials they can latch onto with their tails, like kelp or macroalgae. Avoid placing them with corals or anemones, as these can harm the pipefish. They are peaceful creatures that do well as a pair or in small groups and are best suited for aquariums of at least 100 liters in size. Care must be taken to provide a suitable water current as they are not strong swimmers and to avoid aggressive tank mates that may compete for food or harm them.
