Demands and Hardiness

This plant has an easy growth difficulty level and exhibits very slow growth. It can tolerate a range of light conditions from low to high and thrives in temperatures between 18-23°C. While it can withstand somewhat colder temperatures, caution should be exercised, as its tolerance range is between 4-28°C.

Aquascaping & Usage

Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus' is commonly utilized as an epiphyte, growing on hardscapes within aquarium setups. Its small size and slow growth make it suitable for nano tanks and as a midground plant, enhancing the visual appeal of the aquascape.

Propagation

Propagation of Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus' can be achieved through rhizome division, splitting, or by cutting off daughter plants. This allows for the expansion of the plant within the aquarium environment.

Habitat and Distribution

The plant is primarily found in aquatic habitats and outdoor settings. It is native to regions where it can grow submerged or partially submerged, contributing to the biodiversity of wetland ecosystems.
