General Description

Murdannia keisak, also known as Asian dayflower, belongs to the family Commelinaceae and is characterized by its very narrow leaves that grow in two lines, giving it the appearance of grass. While most species in the Murdannia genus are terrestrial, M. keisak is one of the few bog and aquatic plant species among them. It is native to warmer regions of Asia but has been introduced to regions like the southeastern USA and Italy.
